Rands in Repose
I‘ve written about randsinrepose.com in previous incarnations of this site, but feet it very worthy of mentioning it again.
I discovered Rands in Repose one day when clicking a link to The Nerd Handbook. I was instantly hooked. The article is written for those who love - and seek to understand - a nerd. As a self-proclaimed nerd myself, I found the Handbook both eerily accurate and hilariously insightful.
Other posts that turned my head were: Coffee and Design, How Not to Throw Up, and Meeting Creatures.
Author Michael Lopp - who refers to himself as Rands - has been writing Rands in Repose for seven years, and the posts are always interesting and entertaining. In addition, exploring the site’s archives always takes me longer than intended as I inevitably get sucked into something I’d missed before.
Lopp describes himself as a “full time engineering manager of teams that designs phenomenal software,” and has also written a book called Managing Humans: Biting and Humorous Tales of a Software Engineering Manager.
While these may not sound interesting to non-nerds, Lopp’s writing style is instantly welcoming and engaging for all audiences. Give randsinrepose.com a try today.
